Job Summary: As a bartender, you must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. A guest’s dinner and bar experience should be equally enjoyable, and you play a major role in ensuring that positive experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and co-workers
  • Greet customers, give them menus, and inform them about daily specials
  • Take drink orders from customers
  • Pour wine and serve draft and bottled beer and other drinks and beverages
  • Mix drinks according to recipes
  • Check identification of customers to ensure that they are of legal drinking age
  • Clean bars, tables, and work areas
  • Operate cash registers, collect payments from customers, and return change
  • Manage bar operations and order and maintain liquor and bar supplies

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

  • Previous restaurant and bartender experience required
  • Flexible availability
  • Must be available to work both weekdays and weekends
  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Attention to detail
  • “Guests first” attitude
  • An energetic and enthusiastic personality is essential
  • Must be able to work for extended periods of time without sitting
  • Must meet minimum state age requirements

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
