Mosser Companies is a family-owned and privately held California-based property management and investment group, Mosser Companies has been investing in and managing multifamily properties in the San Francisco Bay area since 1952 and in the Los Angeles area since 2017. In addition to its ownership interests and property management of the Mosser Capital portfolios, Mosser Companies currently owns and operates a real estate portfolio of over 3,000+ rental apartment units.

  • We are looking for a Property Manager to work out of our Hollywood office that will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a small, yet growing portfolio. The Property Manager will ensure that all work is done in accordance with company policies, lease agreements, and applicable laws. This is a regular, full-time, exempt position that reports to the Portfolio Manager. The schedule for this position is Tuesday-Saturday.Essential Functions:Assist the Portfolio Manager in all aspects of property management including coordination with vendors and tenants on site visits
  • Maintain communication with tenants and respond to requests in an efficient and timely manner
  • Coordinate lease terminations, preliminary inspections, and apartment turn-over
  • Write variance notes for monthly financials
  • Make arrangements for move-in/move-outs for tenants
  • Manage changes in priorities and deadlines
  • Administer leasing including showing rental units, preparation of leases, leasing units, reviewing applications and maintaining records
  • Ensure market-ready condition of vacant units
  • Follow up on delinquency notices and 3 Day Notices
  • Take initiative to identify customer needs and provide services to meet or exceed customer expectations

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university
  • 2-4 years of experience in property management or related field
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Adobe, Outlook)
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Knowledgeable of Los Angeles Rent Stabilization Ordinance preferred
  • CCRM designation preferred
  • YARDI experience is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Strong initiative and problem solving skills
  • Punctuality is essential
  • Professional appearance required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
